Cambodia Accounting Forum 2025 under the theme “Regulatory Harmonization: Sustainability Reporting and Digital Financial Reporting”

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center, Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR), in collaboration with Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) and ACCA Cambodia, co-organized the Cambodia Accounting Forum 2025 under the theme “Regulatory Harmonization: Sustainability Reporting and Digital Financial Reporting”. This forum was highly presided over by H.E. Dr. AUN Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (FSA), and was welcomed by H.E. Dr. NGY Tayi, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the member of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority, accompanied by H.E. BOU Tharin, Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Regulator.

This forum focuses on:

-Discussion on National Development Progress

-Formulation of a Shared Strategic Vision for the Advancement of the Accounting and Auditing Profession

-Highlighting the Potential of Sustainability Standards and Digital Financial Reporting in Driving Growth within the Financial Sector

-Exploring Opportunities, Challenges, and Lessons Learned from the Implementation of the Cambodia International Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS), the Cambodia International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CIFRS for SMEs), and the Cambodia Reduced Financial Reporting Framework (CRFRF)

-Ensuring Financial Stability as a Core Principle of the FinTech Development Policy of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The participants from KICPAA include Mr. Khun Darith, President of KICPAA, Mr. Neou Remy, Vice President of KICPAA, and GC members, as well as the secretariat.

This forum is attended by His and Her Excellencies, the Secretary of State and Under-Secretary of State, as well as management and officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, representatives from other relevant line ministries, business owners, representatives of not-for-profit entities, and esteemed guests from both national and international backgrounds, totaling 1242 participants.
