The Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) successfully conducted a workshop on “Audit Practice Manual” on Tuesday & Wednesday, 18–19 August 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Himawari Hotel Apartments.

The workshop featured an insightful presentation by Mr. Neou Remy, CEO of NEOU Audit and Advisory Co., Ltd who provided insights into technical guidance with practical case studies and interactive discussions that support effective audit execution.

During the session, participants gained knowledge on:

Training of Trainers (TOT) on “Instruction on Teaching Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program”

On the afternoon of 6 August 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) conducted a Training of Trainers (TOT) on “Instruction on Teaching the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program” for lecturers at Asia Euro University (AEU).

The purpose of this training was to increase the pass rate of students and to jointly develop new learning and teaching methods for the accounting and auditing profession. Mr. Chea Thourn, Deputy CEO of KICPAA, was a trainer of this event and presented​ on:

1. Overview of KICPAA and Updates in the Accounting and Auditing Sector

2. Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Curriculum

3. Learning and Teaching Methods in the ATQ Program

4. Guidance on Accessing the ATQ learning resources through the KICPAA website and KICPAA app

The training concluded at​ 5:00 PM on the same day with a very fruitful and​ active engagement from lecturers.

Induction Course

On August 5, 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) organized the Third Induction Course at the KICPAA Meeting Room for 12 new members in 2026. The purpose of this training is to introduce the understanding of the Institute, its membership, and obligations, the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policy, Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) program to members, membership system, and especially to congratulate the new members. As a result of this training, all the new members who participated were proud to be members of KICPAA and committed to participate in additional self-development on a regular basis with various training courses organized by KICPAA. The program ended with fruitfulness, joy, and networking.

Workshop on “Promoting the Accounting and Auditing Sector.”

On the morning of Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at​ ACLEDA​ University of Business (AUB), Mrs. Savuth Daly, Chief Executive Officer of the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), presided over the workshop on the topic “Promoting the Accounting and Auditing Sector.” The event was held under the presidency of Mrs. Nean Bony, Deputy Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR), representing H.E. Bou Tharin, Director General of ACAR. It was also attended by Dr. Phon Narin, President of ACLEDA University of Business (AUB), professors, teachers, and approximately​ 120 students.

This workshop was organized to raise awareness of the accounting and auditing sector in Cambodia, as well as to disseminate the importance of the accounting and auditing profession and career development opportunities for students. The workshop provided knowledge on:

1. Overview of the accounting and auditing sector in Cambodia

2. The accounting and auditing profession

3. Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program

4. Promoting accounting compliance to support the development of the accounting and auditing sector with quality, transparency, and trust.

Additionally, Mr. Chea Thourn, Deputy CEO of KICPAA, attended the event as a guest speaker to provide an orientation on the “Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program.” The presentation aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the importance of the accounting and auditing profession and to encourage them to build their professional capacity through training programs, thereby contributing to human resource development and making the accounting and auditing sector in Cambodia stronger and more sustainable.

The event concluded at 11:40 a.m. on the same day in a fruitful and friendly atmosphere, providing students with valuable insights into professional accounting qualifications and career development opportunities in the accounting profession.

Career Day 2026 on “Connecting Students with Industry Opportunities” at Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA)

On the morning of 25 July 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), in collaboration with the Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA), organized Career Day 2026 under the theme “Connecting Students with Industry Opportunities” at the Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA), Phnom Penh. The event was held under the presidency of Mrs. Savuth Daly, Chief Executive Officer of KICPAA and Mr. Bun Sundrong, President of IFA, and was attended by KICPAA’s management team, representatives from accounting and auditing firms, banks, lecturers, and students.

During the event, students gained valuable insights into the importance of developing professional competencies and preparing for the evolving job market. They were encouraged to continuously strengthen their knowledge, professional competencies, and ethical values to enhance their career readiness. The event also featured a presentation on the Career Support System (CSS), a platform that connects students with internship and employment opportunities offered by KICPAA’s firm members. This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic “Careers in the Accounting and Auditing Sector,” with professionals from VSD Audit and Assurance Co., Ltd., Localize Tech Solution, and Your Guiding Star Accounting Co., Ltd. sharing their work experiences, insights into the skills and competencies required by employers, and guidance on preparing for successful careers in the profession. Students also visited the career exhibition booths of participating firms, where they received information on internship and employment opportunities. The event provided students with valuable opportunities to interact directly with employers, gain insights into labor market demands, and expand their professional networks.

As a result, the event made a significant contribution to connecting students with career opportunities, encouraging them to prepare for their future​ careers, and strengthening collaboration among the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), Institute of finance and Accounting (IFA), and KICPAA’s firm members in developing high-quality human resources for Cambodia’s accounting and auditing sector.

The event concluded successfully at 3:00 p.m. on the same day in a fruitful and friendly atmosphere,​ providing valuable opportunities for students and participating firms to build stronger connections and explore career opportunities.

Student Orientation on “Promoting the Accounting and Finance Profession” for Students at University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum

On the morning of 17 July 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), in collaboration with the University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum (UHST), organized a Student Orientation on “Promoting the Accounting and Finance Profession” for lecturers, students, and high school students from four schools, including Hun Sen Ou Reang Ov High School, Hun Sen CharThmey High School, Techo Sen Thbongkhmum High School, and Hun Sen Khnar High School, with approximately 200 participants at the University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum. The orientation was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pin Tara, Vice Rector of UHST, and attended by Mr. Chea Thourn, Deputy CEO of KICPAA, as the honored speaker, who delivered a presentation on:

  • Introduced students to the fields of accounting, auditing, and finance, including their roles and importance in supporting business operations and economic development.
  • Explained the benefits of pursuing accounting and finance majors, including the knowledge, technical skills, and professional competencies students can develop for their future careers.
  • Shared insights into various career opportunities available in the accounting and finance professions, helping students understand potential career pathways after graduation.

Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between KICPAA and Localize Tech Solution Co., Ltd on “Collaboration in Digital Accounting System Promotion, Capacity Building, and Professional Development”

On the morning of Thursday 16, July 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) was pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Localize Tech Solution Co., Ltd to strengthen collaboration in digital accounting system promotion, capacity building, and professional development, supporting the digital transformation and modernization of Cambodia’s accounting and auditing profession.

The MoU was signed between:
