Student Orientation on “The Understanding of Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program and Career Support System (CSS)”

In the morning of 10 July 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) and Asia Euro University (AEU) successfully conducted a Student Orientation on “The Understanding of Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program and Career Support System (CSS)” for management team, lecturers and approximately 200 students at Asia Euro University, Phnom Penh. The event was presided over by Mrs. Savuth Daly, CEO of the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), and Mr. Sun Setha, Rector of Asia Euro University, to strengthen the understanding of the accounting and promote the value of professional accounting education.

The orientation received strong interest and active participation from the students. During the session, students were introduced to the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) program and its role as the first step toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Cambodia. In addition, students were encouraged to register for the ATQ examinations and explored the KICPAA app, which provides learning resources to support their studies and professional development.

Furthermore, students gained an understanding of the Career Support System (CSS), a platform developed by KICPAA to connect student members with member firms for internship and employment opportunities. Students were encouraged to create and upload their CVs to the (CSS) platform, enabling firms to identify suitable candidates for internships and job placements.

The event concluded at 11:10 a.m. on the same day in a fruitful and friendly atmosphere, providing students with valuable insights into professional accounting qualifications and career development opportunities in the accounting profession.

The orientation provided students with an overview of the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) program and its​ important role as the first step toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Cambodia. In addition, students were encouraged to register for the ATQ examinations and explored the KICPAA app, which provides learning resources to support their studies and professional development.

Furthermore, students gained an understanding of the Career Support System (CSS), a platform developed by KICPAA to connect student members with member firms for internship and employment opportunities. Students were encouraged to create and upload their CVs to the (CSS) platform, enabling firms to identify suitable candidates for internships and job placements.

The event concluded at 20:20 p.m. on the same day in a fruitful and friendly atmosphere, providing students with valuable insights into professional accounting qualifications and career development opportunities in the accounting profession.

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program on “ESG Report”

The Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), in collaboration with Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), successfully conducted a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Webinar on the topic “ESG Report” on Friday, 3 July 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM via Zoom Meeting.

The webinar featured an insightful presentation by Ms. Hak Kunthea, Corporate Disclosure Supervision Division of SERC, who shared valuable expertise on ESG disclosure in the securities sector in Cambodia.

During the session, participants gained valuable knowledge on:

  • Regional and global sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, TCFD, and ISSB
  • ESG disclosure requirements for the securities sector in Cambodia
  • Structuring ESG reports in accordance with applicable regulations

Addressing practical challenges through an interactive Q&A session.

The webinar attracted 375 participants, including KICPAA members, potential companies intending to issue securities, issuers, and listed entities, corporate executives (CEO, CFO, strategy, risk, compliance), sustainability/ESG officers, securities firms and institutional investors, auditors, consultants, and legal advisors, and development partners and NGOs working on sustainability.

Workshop on “The Importance of Accounting in Business” and “The Relationship Between Accounting and Auditing” at Vanda University

On the morning of June 26, 2026, Mrs. Savuth Daly, CEO of the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), attended the Workshop on “The Importance of Accounting in Business” and “The Relationship Between Accounting and Auditing” at Vanda University. The event was presided over by HE. Dr. Heng Vanda, Chairman of Vanda University, to strengthen the understanding of the accounting and auditing profession, motivate students, promote the value of professional qualifications, and demonstrate the benefits of learning from experienced experts.

On this occasion, Mrs. Savuth Daly had the honor of delivering an inspiring interest speech, encouraging all students to continue striving to develop their professional competencies to prepare for careers in the accounting and auditing sectors in the future. Following this, HE. Dr. Heng Vanda delivered a warm welcome speech on the collaboration between KICPAA and Vanda University in strengthening the quality of human resources in accordance with professional standards.

The event also featured a presentation and experience-sharing session by Ms. Sun Kimhin, Partner, Accounting Service of Fii&Associates Co., Ltd.  on the topic of “The Relationship Between Accounting and Auditing”. This presentation provided practical insights and valuable experiences, serving as inspiration and guidance for students to better understand the deep connections between both fields and effectively prepare themselves to embark on their professional careers. In addition, Mr. Chea Thourn, Deputy CEO of KICPAA, delivered a presentation introducing KICPAA and its professional qualifications, including the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) program and the pathway to the Cambodian Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. He also shared insights on “The Importance of Accounting in Business and Cambodia’s Economic Development, Career Opportunities, and Future Professional Demand,” emphasizing the vital role of the accounting profession in driving business growth, contributing to Cambodia’s economic development, and addressing the increasing demand for qualified accounting professionals.

As a result, this event provided students with valuable knowledge about the relationship between accounting and auditing, practical insights into the skills required, and direct guidance from experienced professionals. The event also strengthened connections between students and career opportunities, motivating them to continue their studies and effectively prepare for future careers in accounting and auditing.

The 30th ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant Coordinating Committee – ACPACC Meeting

On 15–16 June 2026, Mrs. Savuth Daly, Chief Executive Officer of the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), and Ms. Koeng Keopisey, Membership & Relations Supervisor of KICPAA, participated virtually in the 30th ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant Coordinating Committee (ACPACC) Meeting. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Nean Bony, Deputy Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR), representing Cambodia, accompanied by technical officials of ACAR, along with representatives from other ASEAN Member States, both in person and virtually which was hosted by Thailand.

The meeting discussed and exchanged views on the progress of key ASEAN CPA activities, including the development and implementation of the digital ASEAN CPA Certificate, the updating of the ASEAN CPA website and the Sustainability Knowledge Hub, the promotion of mobility for professional accountants within the ASEAN region, cooperation on Sustainability Reporting, and progress reports on the work of the Business Sector Sub-Working Group (BSSWG).

Through this meeting, Cambodia continued to demonstrate its firm commitment to supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Accountancy Services (ASEAN MRA on Accountancy) and strengthening cooperation in the accounting profession at the regional level, aiming to contribute to human resource development and sustainable ASEAN economic integration.

KICPAA will continue to work closely with relevant authorities and ASEAN partners to enhance the quality of the accounting and auditing profession, while expanding opportunities for its members to participate in the ASEAN labor market.

“Learning and Development (L&D) Day” program

On the morning of Friday, May 22, 2026, the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) participated in promoting its membership and the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program to the staff of KPMG Cambodia and other participants during the “Learning and Development (L&D) Day” program organized by KPMG Cambodia, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the KPMG Cambodia office.

During the program, the KICPAA team engaged in discussions, provided explanations, and conducted an enjoyable Q&A session with prizes in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The objectives of the program were to:

  1. Promote greater awareness and understanding of KICPAA among KPMG Cambodia staff and other participants;

2. Explain KICPAA membership and the membership registration process; and

3. Promote the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program to KPMG Cambodia staff working in the accounting field so they could gain a clearer understanding of the program.

Training of trainers (TOT) on the topic “QuickBooks Online Features, Updates, and Compliance Solution”

On the afternoon of 21 May 2026, Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) conducted the training of trainers (TOT) on the topic “QuickBooks Online Features, Updates, and Compliance Solution” for lecturers from various universities via the online Zoom Meeting platform. The training was delivered by our honorable speaker, Ms. Sat Sokhon, Assistant Vice President of CAS-BIZ Technology, a company licensed to distribute QuickBooks licenses in Cambodia.

As a result, this training enhanced lecturers’ ability to:

1. Understand the latest features, functions, and updates of QuickBooks Online, as well as accounting compliance, financial reporting, and digital solutions that support regulatory requirements

2. Teach bookkeeping more effectively by applying practical knowledge and real-world practices

3. Increase the passing rate of the ATQ examination.

The event ended at 5:10 PM on the same day in a fruitful and happy moment.
